How to Start Your Own Fantasy WebsiteIn Feburary 2016 16,

In Feburary 2016 16,
Build your website using pen and paper. Think about what pages you will want your fantasy website to have, including a message board, if you like. Draw a rectangle for the home page (where visitors first arrive) and draw subsequent rectangles to represent the other pages, such as 'about us' or 'contact us' or 'links.'
Design your primary navigation method. Will your visitors get from the home page to the other pages just by clicking on text links, or will you use images? Figure out the two basic states for these images: what they look like when they're just sitting there (the off state) and what they look like when someone puts their mouse cursor over them (the over state). Does it change?
Draw out on pen and paper how each page will look. What text do you plan to have on each page, and where will it be? Left aligned? Centered? Will you use headers and images? What about the background?
Get your Space on the Web
Select a domain for your website. That's the www.WhateverYouWant.com or .net or .org or whatever. You can pick your name, but it must be unique among every other domain name in existence. Purchasing it from a place like GoDaddy.com or NetworkSolutions.com should cost around $10 per year.
Having purchased your domain name, it's like you've bought land but have no house to put your stuff (your website) in. You now need to buy a hosting package--the house to put on your land. There are literally hundreds of places that offer hosting packages on the web, such as Jiffynet.net, hostmonster.com, bluehost.com, or even GoDaddy, if that's where you got your domain. Again, prices will vary but it is possible to get a great package deal from some hosting providers for as little as $6 per month.
An alternative to doing Steps 1 and 2 separately is buying your domain name and hosting account together at the same place and perhaps receiving a package deal.
If you buy your hosting package separate from your domain name, you will need to log in where you bought your domain name and change the nameservers to your hosting company's nameservers. Your hosting company will send you information on how to accomplish this.
Wait for propagation to take place. When you buy a new domain and hosting, it can take up to 48 hours for the World Wide Web to realize that you are now there and have your space. That means that for a while, you may type in www.YourNewDomain.com and get nothing. Or perhaps you get nothing, but you call your friend and he can see it fine. Give it a couple of days, during which time you can involve yourself in the next steps.
Build and Upload Your Web Pages
You've got your design. You've got your space. You can start building using either your vast HTML knowledge to hand-code the page from scratch or a WYSIWYG editor like Adobe DreamWeaver or a free editor like CoffeeCup http://www.coffeecup.com/free-editor/.
Use your program to arrange your first page (and only your first page) just the way you like it. If you want to include images, you can download them from free image sites on the Internet or use programs like PhotoShop to create your own. Save those image files in your site folder and import them where they belong.
If you want to have a discussion board attached to your site, you can either buy one or use one of the many free ones available on the Internet, such as Pro Boards http://www.proboards.com/. Set up the page on your domain by following the instructions on the site from which you get it.
Test your site by uploading your main page to see how it looks on the screen. Make sure your fantasy elements are aligned just the way you like them. Test the link to the navigation board and make sure it is working properly.
Once your home page meets your approval, create the other pages for your site to fill it out. When you are done, advertise your site far and wide using social media like Facebook and Google to tell the world you have arrived.

Where Are Some Cool Places to Throw a Halloween Party? In Feburary 2016 15,

In Feburary 2016 15,
Host your Halloween party at home for a cozy and familiar environment. Doing this will let you have full creative control on where your guests enjoy themselves and on how you decorate. Purchase black lights to replace your home's traditional lighting, or incorporate various colors of light throughout your home (such as orange lighting in your bathroom to go along with the theme of Halloween). Purchase a fog machine to give the added effect of a spooky atmosphere. Other decorations, such as fake cobwebs, statues and household decorations, are available at local Halloween store outlets or online (see Resources).
At a Haunted House
Renting a haunted house is a possibility, depending on your surrounding area and available houses. Many haunted houses are open for the public during the fall and around Halloween, so you may have to call many haunted houses to inquire about private rentals and parties. Renting a haunted house may also mean special restrictions or a specific time frame your guests can attend. Sign a rental agreement in advance that sets forth the terms of the rental. Most haunted houses are already pre-decorated, but you will more than likely be required to provide your own entertainment, food and beverages for your guests.
In a Field or Barn
If you live in a rural area or near a facility with a large field or barn, it may be possible to host your Halloween party in these locations. If the field or land is public property, find out from the appropriate local governmental authorities about any required permits or restrictions on using the land. You can also ask neighbors or the owners of an empty barn or field about hosting a Halloween party on their property, although you will be responsible for all of your party guests and their behavior.
At a Rented Venue
Renting a venue for a Halloween party is a perfect solution for those who live in larger cities or prefer an indoor event. Some bowling alleys (including cosmic bowling) allow rentals for private parties to host their own gatherings. You can also rent local banquet halls or even a time slot at your city's community center, depending on the community center's specific rules and pricing. Other venues to rent for the evening might include a concert hall or an entire 'laser' tag or paintball building, though these will cost significantly more in rental costs.

How to Fix a Leaking RoofIn Feburary 2016 13,

In Feburary 2016 13,
Examine the roof shingles and look for any spots where the shingles are discolored, or where the roof sags.
Go inside the attic and examine the underside of the sheathing and the rafters. Look for any damp spots or water stains on the wood, or signs of mold growth. Check the insulation in between the floor joists for signs of water damage as well. If you notice mold or water stains in one area, that's the area where the leak is located.
Soak the roof with a garden hose to try to locate the leak. Begin in areas where there is a hole cut into the roof, such as around a vent pipe or skylight. Run the water over the joint for several minutes while an assistant stands inside the house underneath the area where you're applying the water to watch for leaks. Move on to the valleys where different sections of the roof meet at an angle, and finally the main sections of the roof.
Damaged Shingles
Using a pry bar, lift the undamaged shingles in the area surrounding the shingles that are damaged to be able to remove the shingles in the damaged area.
Remove the shingles in the damaged area by lifting them up with the pry bar and taking them off of the roof. Begin at the top of the damaged area and work toward the bottom.
Examine the sheathing where you removed the shingles. If it's damaged, remove the old sheathing and nail new sheathing to the roof rafters to replace it with galvanized nails. Sheathing usually consists of 3/4-inch plywood or oriented strand board (OSB).
Cover the new sheathing with strips of roofing paper. Begin laying the paper at the bottom of the sheathing, and work toward the top. Slide the edges of the roofing paper underneath the shingles surrounding the damaged area, and overlap the different rows of paper by 1 inch as you lay them. Staple them to the sheathing every 6 to 8 inches with a hammer stapler.
Lay the first course of shingles into place along the bottom of the area being repaired. Align the new shingles with the existing shingles in that row, and nail them to the roof by driving in three evenly-spaced roofing nails placed 1 inch above the tabs.
Continue laying new shingles to finish covering the area being repaired. When you get to the last row, slide the top edge of the shingles underneath the bottom of the shingles in the row above them. This prevents water from seeping underneath the top edge of the new shingles.
Nail down the shingles you loosened around the area that was damaged.
Vents and Pipes
Loosen the shingles around the roof vent or pipe with the pry bar.
Remove the boot around the vent pipe, or the roof vent, from the roof. If it's screwed into place, back the screws out with a drill; if it's nailed into place, pry it off the roof with the pry bar.
Apply a thick bead of roofing cement around the vent pipe or the hole for the roof vent.
Place the new boot for the vent pipe or the new roof vent into position. Attach it to the roof with galvanized screws or galvanized roofing nails.
Nail down the loose shingles around the vent pipe or roof vent with roofing nails.

How to Start a Hosting CompanyIn Feburary 2016 03,

In Feburary 2016 03,
Raise the start-up capital. Starting a web hosting company requires a significant amount of capital. Estimate the financial cost of launching your web hosting company and evaluate the state of your personal finances. If you do not have access to savings, consider forming a partnership with other investors or taking out bank debt.
Lease office space. Locate a suitable space to house your servers and other equipment. Take into account the need for additional room for other in-house departments, such as customer service or advertising.
Lease or purchase servers. Determine whether to own or lease your servers. The options range from custom-built products by manufacturers such as Dell or Gateway to preconfigured servers. Leasing equipment under a monthly payment plan is an attractive option if you do not have adequate capital.
Select a bandwidth provider. If you purchase your own servers, you will need to locate a bandwidth provider that can run a line to your servers through a router. If you lease your servers, the company that leases the equipment will normally offer you a bandwidth package.
Advertise your hosting solution. In order to be successful, you will need to convince consumers to choose your hosting solution over those of other companies, many of which are more established. You will need to develop a website advertising your services and attract as many visitors as possible. Factors involved in receiving traffic include search engine optimization, online affiliate advertising, advertising in physical media, connecting with social media and listing your site in relevant online directories.
