About Skin BleachIn Feburary 2016 25,

In Feburary 2016 25,
Skin bleaching is a cosmetic treatment that many people perform in their own homes. Skin bleaching can be done through the use of topical creams as well as visits to the dermatologist's office for laser and chemical peels. The goal of skin bleach is to lighten dark and discolored areas of the skin whether on the face or somewhere else on the body. Skin bleaching is not recommended for birthmarks or moles, but for dark areas, liver spots, freckles and other discolorations.
Causes of Skin Discoloration
Many people throughout the world have uneven pigmentation which has nothing to do with their ethnic background or their actual skin color. Men and women alike suffer from blotchy uneven areas with patches of gray and brown discoloration that are caused by either too much or too little melanin being produced. Melanin is a pigment that has two major forms which combine to create varying skintones. Melanin also provides some sun protection for the skin. Too much melanin in the body is known as hyperpigmentation. There are different classifications of hyperpigmentation: Melasma describes a general darkening of the skin. Chloasma is generally used to describe hormonal skin discoloration. Solar lentigenes are darkened areas generally caused by unprotected sun exposure. Besides these examples hyperpigmentation can also be caused by skin damage. For example blemishes, wounds and rashes can leave scars that are darker than the surrounding skin.
Skin Bleaching Chemicals
Many skin bleaching treatments contain topical hydroqinone. Hydroquinone is recommended by many dermatologists as a safer and similarly effective option than lasers or deep peel treatments to treat hyperpigmentation. Hydroquinone is available in many pharmacies in the United States in a 2 percent topical cream. Another chemical topical azelaic acid has shown to be as effective as hydroquinone but with less irritation, even in up to 20 percent concentration. Also, several plant extracts and Vitamin C have been found by researchers to be effective for inhibiting the production of melanin thus reducing dark spots. For those who have more money and possibly even more serious skin discoloration there are alpha hydroxy peels, which are usually performed by a dermatologist to help reduce skin discoloration.
Dangers of Skin Bleaching
Some would say there is no cost to high to pay for beauty. However, skin bleaching can be an extremely dangerous choice to make for a simply cosmetic reason. Hydroquinone has been linked to cancer, and the Europeans have banned it from cosmetic treatments. Lasers and peels can damage the basic skin cells and cause redness, irritation, sensitivity and scarring. As with any treatment that will change the appearance of your skin as well as possibly the basic components of your skin you face the risk of irritation and redness. Many of the creams that you can buy in the store to lighten dark spots are fairly harmless but some of the ingredients in them when looked at separately are quite dangerous. For example, mercury and arsenic are not ingredients you would choose to put on your face, but they are used in many skin bleaching processes. Popular model and talk show host Tyra Bank's devoted an entire segment of her talk show to the dangers of skin bleaching. Granted most of the people she was speaking with were not using the creams appropriately and were essentially trying to bleach their entire face or their entire body to a lighter color. However she did address many of the dangers of the ingredients included in most over-the-counter skin bleaching creams.
General Advice
If you suffer from and discoloration and are in the market for a topical skin bleaching cream, it is advised that you use the lowest percentage of active ingredient that you possibly can and do not use the treatment on a large portion of your skin as that is not how they are intended to be used. Treat only the small portion of your skin that is discolored and follow all directions on the packaging to ensure that you do not use the product for longer than intended as this can cause severe skin irritation and damage. It is also recommended that you speak with a dermatologist before beginning any skin bleaching treatments.

Is Flickr a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?In Feburary 2016 15,

In Feburary 2016 15,
A content delivery network is simply a way to describe a method for getting information to you over the Internet. Without a CDN, when someone requests information from you, a central server sends the information out over the Internet. If the client is geographically located in a faraway place, it can take quite some time for the information to flow through all the required Internet servers before it reaches its destination. With a CDN, instead of a single central server your information is duplicated on a number of servers located around the world. When someone requests information from you, the user is automatically directed to the server that's physically closest to him.
CDN Benefits
The largest benefit of a CDN is the reduction in time that it takes to deliver information to you. While generally it only takes a extra few hundred milliseconds to send data across the world, if your user is loading a Web page with a number of files, all those extra hundreds of milliseconds add up to a fairly long wait time. CDNs also help reduce traffic on your main servers, allowing many more people to download your information at once without causing a traffic bottleneck.
Flickr
On its face, Flickr is not a CDN. Flickr is simply a website that allows you to store, display and access image files. While many websites do use Flickr for content delivery, for instance, by having a Web page link to images stored on Flickr, the service isn't intended to be a method for reducing content access speeds. However, if your single server is getting bombarded with requests and is spending most of its time uploading images to users, using Flickr to store those images instead of your server is one option that will give you some relief similar to a CDN-based solution.
Does Flickr Use a CDN?
Since Flickr serves users around the world, you may automatically assume that it uses a CDN, but that's not necessarily true. Traceroutes -- which measure the paths and delays of packets as they travel across a network -- to the same page from around the world show that Flickr uses a CDN for most of the static imagery on the site, like the logos and company information, but not for the images. This makes sense, as duplicating a database the size of Flickr's several times would result in an enormous use of data, most of which would be useless as these images are rarely accessed from multiple physical locations.

How to Download FTP Files With Internet ExplorerIn Feburary 2016 06,

In Feburary 2016 06,
Find the address of the FTP server that you want to connect to. FTP servers owned by large corporations are usually identified by a name. For example, the address of the public Microsoft FTP server is ftp.Microsoft.com. A privately owned FTP server may not have a domain name. If an FTP server does not have a domain name, it is identified by an IP address, such as 192.168.0.1.
Find the port number of the FTP server. The standard port number for FTP servers is 21. If the port number is not mentioned, it is generally safe to assume that it uses port 21. Private servers often use nonstandard port numbers to avoid unwanted connection attempts.
Open Internet Explorer. Click in the address bar at the top of the screen, where you would normally type a website address. Type 'ftp' followed by a colon and two backslashes, then type the address of the FTP server. If the server uses a port number other than 21, type a colon followed by the port number. For example, if you wanted to connect to the Microsoft FTP server, you would type 'ftp://ftp.Microsoft.com' and press 'Enter.' If you wanted to connect to a server at the IP address 192.168.0.1 and using the port number 2000, you would type 'ftp://192.168.0.1:2000' and press 'Enter.'
Type the user name and password if prompted, then click the 'Log On' button. If the FTP server is private, the user name and password must be provided to you by the administrator in order to connect. Public FTP servers such as the one owned by Microsoft allow 'anonymous' connections, meaning that you are not prompted for a user name and password. Once you are connected, a list of folders is displayed. Think of these as being similar to the folders on your computer. Each is identified by a blue clickable link.
Click a blue link to browse into that folder. As you browse through the folders of the FTP site, you will begin to see files. Files can be identified by the extensions displayed, such as '.ZIP' or .RAR.' The size of each file (in bytes) is displayed in the column to the left of the file name.
Click the name of a file to download it. An Internet Explorer download window opens.
Click the 'Save' button. Browse to the location where you want to save the file--such as the desktop--and click 'Save' again to download the file.
