SQL Server uses the client-server model of data management. With client-server, a program called the client requests data from a server program, usually on another computer. The server evaluates the request and passes data back to the client. This improves security since the client must provide the correct password information for the server to release the data. It also helps speed data access since the server computer does all the hard work of data management; the client receives the results. An organization using SQL Server usually has several dedicated computers for it.
Relational Database
You can organize data in many different ways. You can type it in a simple file, organize it in a spreadsheet or divide .it into distinct parts. If you run a big website and have millions of records to manage, efficiency is important. Microsoft SQL Server uses a data organization method called a relational database. A database designer looks at the organization's information and creates structures called tables to store it. By linking the tables in different combinations, she can, for example, see how many customers she has by state, what they purchased and how often they visit the website.
SQL Language
SQL Server uses the SQL language. Using SQL, a programmer can create tables, add, remove or update data, and sort and retrieve it rapidly. Different software companies, such as Oracle and MySQL, also use the SQL language, allowing programmers to use the same skills for managing data stored on different systems.
Tools
The core of SQL Server is the program that processes data requests from client programs. In addition, it has programs to build databases, import and export data and monitor the database's performance. While a programmer can do many of these tasks from the SQL language, the extra software tools make the job easier to learn and perform.
Security and Integrity
If you're responsible for a company's data, you need to manage who can and cannot access it. With SQL Server, you can assign many different levels of security, letting some users see or modify data and locking other users out. It also lets a programmer build rules into the database to ensure the data has integrity. For example, the customer's address can have a rule that the state must come from a list of state abbreviations. If a user tries entering a state of 'ZX,' SQL Server will reject it.

Confirmation Party IdeasIn Feburary 2016 21,
In Feburary 2016 21,
Like First Communion, Confirmation can occur at any time of the year, but large-scale ceremonies generally take place in the spring, so the opportunities for an outdoor event are many. Families may wish to throw backyard barbecues or picnics in a public park or forest preserve for a large number of guests. This approach lends itself to all sorts of recreation (e.g., swimming, volleyball, basketball, or whatever the weather and facilities allow).
Group Parties
Young Catholics are typically confirmed in eighth grade and may wish to celebrate the occasion together. Teaming up with the parents of your child's friends allows you to pool your resources and organize a large celebration. The logistics are more difficult because this approach requires the rental of a hall or a host willing to open a large home or back yard to many guests. The advantage is that there will be plenty of young people around, and the adults may enjoy a chance to mix with people they don't ordinarily see.
Spend a Day With the Sponsor
Confirmation candidates are required to have a sponsor, an adult friend or family member who is already a confirmed Catholic. This person's role is to serve as a guide throughout the preparation for the sacrament. Above and beyond any family celebration, it is meaningful for both the sponsor and the newly confirmed Catholic to spend a special day together, either at a fun event such as a baseball game or in a more solemn way such as on a retreat.
Theme Parties
Families that wish to have large, festive parties may want to build their party around the newly confirmed Catholic's interests and tastes. Sports themes or motifs such as a beach party are popular. Particularly devout families may wish to have a Christian artist perform as musical entertainment (this works best in a rental hall setting, and it may be expensive depending on the performer's fee).
Adult Confirmations
Although the majority of confirmations are for eighth graders, many Catholics are confirmed well into adulthood. They may wish to host their own celebrations, such as a private dinner with friends, family, and the priest who administered the sacrament. Adult confirmations are done throughout the year and often on a one-by-one basis, as opposed to a large group, so it may be easier for clergy to attend a celebration.

How Does an FTP Work?In Feburary 2016 19,
In Feburary 2016 19,
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is the protocol used to transfer files between devices on the Internet. Particularly useful for larger files, FTP is a more robust and more capable protocol than the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) used to deliver web pages and smaller files from a server to a client by way of a web browser. Since no special browser is required, FTP is also more universal. All major operating systems, including Mac OS, Windows and Linux allow FTP file transfers directly from the command line. Graphical FTP programs do exist though, and help organize and facilitate bulk file transfers that would otherwise require considerable manual input. By using FTP to transfer files between clients and servers, or between network servers, FTP helps webmasters publish the files that drive the Internet.
FTP Transfers Work in Sessions
In order to transfer a file from a client to a server, or to download a file from a server to a computer, a user must authenticate, or identify himself, when logging on to an FTP server. By authenticating, the user creates a session on the server during which he can transfer or modify as many files as necessary. The authentication process also allows remote hosts to set proper file permissions, keeping users from viewing files or directories to which they do not have access, and allowing an individual user to set read, write, and execute permissions on his own files or subdirectories. When the user session is complete, the user simply disconnects from the server and the session is closed. Some FTP servers also allow 'anonymous' connections, where members of the public can connect anonymously to the FTP server and initiate file transfers; these settings are generally used when publicly available information--like program files released for free--needs to be available for download by knowledgeable users.
FTP Uses Multiple Ports
The File Transfer Protocol is unique among protocols used on the Internet in that it actually works across two ports: one port for issuing commands and conveying other administrative information between the client and server, and a separate port for actually transferring files. Users can also transfer files in either an 'active' or a 'passive' mode, allowing flexibility for file transfers from behind a network firewall or other situation that may present difficulty in transferring files.
