Fashion show script writing begins with solid research and careful thought. Spend time with each of the garments to find out what makes them special. Investigate what they are made of, what is fashionable about the cut, what its function is and how it is meant to be worn. Learn whether it belongs to a particular genre and what is new and different about it. Identify the designer for each garment and dig up the story behind the inspiration for it.
Developing a Vocabulary
If you don't already have a large and sparkling fashion vocabulary, start reading fashion magazines. Pay particular attention to how outfits are described and the storytelling methods used to sell an outfit. Read clothing catalogs and outfit descriptions. Make notes about compelling and inspiring language. Peruse fashion sites that provide lists of words to use for clothing.
Writing the Descriptions
Don't approach the writing as an elementary school descriptive writing exercise. Tell stories to make your writing shine. The National Opinion writer Julia Robson writes, 'Although the writing at its best might look simple, it isn't. A combination of speaking from the heart and punchy, one-liners can take hours, days even, to get right.' Start with the obvious when describing the garment and then include important details about what makes it special -- what its story is. Introduce the designer and the model. Devote time to editing and polishing it. Read it aloud. Read it to a friend. Take out anything that is repetitious or is too hard to say. Pare it down to the bare necessities, while still making the text sparkle. Write to any word counts or time limits that you have for the fashion show.
Putting It All Together
Start the script with an introduction that talks about the show's purpose -- whether it is a fundraiser, highlighting a particular brand or following a specific theme. Welcome the audience. Organize outfits into
runs
and put the descriptions in the proper order. Double-check with organizers to ensure the script matches the order of model appearance. Some fashion shows will have entertainment or guest speakers between runs, mark such elements in your script. At the end of the show, include the emcee's closing speech along with any thank yous to models, designers or sponsors.
Formatting the Script
Find out how the emcee wants the script structured -- whether she can read it from a hand-held tablet or from hard copy. Put the name of the outfit in bold or all caps with the name of the designer and model immediately after it. Leave a space and then include the description you wrote. You may choose to put key facts in bold for easier reading. Break up your descriptions into short paragraphs so they are easy to read. Read the script aloud to ensure it flows and follows the time sequences. Adjust as necessary.

Open Source Email Marketing ToolsIn Feburary 2016 21,
In Feburary 2016 21,
Dada Mail takes its name from the Dada art movement of the early 20th century, in which artists expressed themselves with no boundaries, conventions or rules. Dada Mail expresses this idea by providing users a wide range of capabilities in formatting and organizing their email newsletters. Dada Mail uses the open source scripting language Perl, which allows Perl programmers to add features to meet the company's needs. Businesses that do not have Perl experts on staff can still use the web-based interface to add, edit or delete features from the program.
Mailman
Mailman is a free software package used for handling email lists. Mailman uses a web-based interface, which makes it easier for users to control access to their accounts and for list owners to accomplish their tasks. Mailman includes features such as message archiving, content filtering, and automatic processing of 'bounce-back' messages that come from bad email addresses. The package also includes filters to block out unsolicited email advertisements, also known as spam. The software is written in the Python web scripting language, but includes some security modules in the C programming language.
OpenEMM
OpenEMM, which stands for Open E-Marketing Manager, is the first open source software platform designed specifically for email marketing. The first version was released in 1999 and has been used by high-profile companies such as IBM, Siemens and Deutsche Telekomm. OpenEMM inclues an intuitive user interface, advanced bad email address bounce-back management, a realtime statistics module and the ability to connect to a web-based content management system, such as WordPress and Drupal. (see reference 4)
PHPList
PHPList uses the popular and powerful PHP scripting language for its open source engine. The software is designed to connect to the free MySQL database management system for the administration of the user's mailing list data. PHPList gives list administrators the ability to tracks links and URLs embedded in the email messages and compiles statistics by message, URL and subscriber. Businesses of nearly every size can use the software, as it is scaleable to up to 100,000 subscribers.

How to Disable Sites in Apache 2In Feburary 2016 09,
In Feburary 2016 09,
Verify that the site is still enabled. From the Ubuntu Linux command line, issue the following commands:cd \etc\apache2\sites-enabledlsThe first command switches the working directory to the 'sites-enabled' sub-directory. The second command lists the files in the directory. If there is a file for the site you want to disable, continue with Step 2. If not, the site already is disabled.
Issue the following commands at the Ubuntu command prompt:cd (changes to your home directory)sudo a2dissite sitename (where 'sitename' is the name of the site you want to disable) This command removes 'sitename' from the /etc/apache2/sites-available sub-directory.
Verify that the site has been removed from the list of enabled sites with the following command:ls /etc/apache2/sites-enabledYour site should not appear in the sub-directory listing.
Restart the Apache 2 Web server with the following command:sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restartThis causes Apache 2 to stop listening for requests for the disabled site.
Start a browser session and attempt to navigate to the site. If your site is disabled, you should get a 'Not Found' message on a default error page.
