Open Source Email Marketing ToolsIn Feburary 2016 21,

In Feburary 2016 21,
Dada Mail takes its name from the Dada art movement of the early 20th century, in which artists expressed themselves with no boundaries, conventions or rules. Dada Mail expresses this idea by providing users a wide range of capabilities in formatting and organizing their email newsletters. Dada Mail uses the open source scripting language Perl, which allows Perl programmers to add features to meet the company's needs. Businesses that do not have Perl experts on staff can still use the web-based interface to add, edit or delete features from the program.
Mailman
Mailman is a free software package used for handling email lists. Mailman uses a web-based interface, which makes it easier for users to control access to their accounts and for list owners to accomplish their tasks. Mailman includes features such as message archiving, content filtering, and automatic processing of 'bounce-back' messages that come from bad email addresses. The package also includes filters to block out unsolicited email advertisements, also known as spam. The software is written in the Python web scripting language, but includes some security modules in the C programming language.
OpenEMM
OpenEMM, which stands for Open E-Marketing Manager, is the first open source software platform designed specifically for email marketing. The first version was released in 1999 and has been used by high-profile companies such as IBM, Siemens and Deutsche Telekomm. OpenEMM inclues an intuitive user interface, advanced bad email address bounce-back management, a realtime statistics module and the ability to connect to a web-based content management system, such as WordPress and Drupal. (see reference 4)
PHPList
PHPList uses the popular and powerful PHP scripting language for its open source engine. The software is designed to connect to the free MySQL database management system for the administration of the user's mailing list data. PHPList gives list administrators the ability to tracks links and URLs embedded in the email messages and compiles statistics by message, URL and subscriber. Businesses of nearly every size can use the software, as it is scaleable to up to 100,000 subscribers.

Advantages Disadvantages of Normalizing a DatabaseIn Feburary 2016 18,

In Feburary 2016 18,
Databases can hold a significant amount of information, perhaps millions or billions of pieces of data. Normalizing a database reduces its size and prevents data duplication. It ensures that each piece of data is stored only once.
Groups Data Logically
Application developers who create applications to 'talk' to a database find it easier to deal with a normalized database. The data they access is organized more logically in a normalized database, often similar to the way in which the real-world objects that the data represent are organized. That makes the developers' applications easier to design, write and change.
Enforces Referential Integrity on Data
Referential integrity is the enforcement of relationships between data in joined tables. Without referential integrity, data in a table can lose its link to other tables where related data is held. This leads to orphaned and inconsistent data in tables. A normalized database, with joins between tables, can prevent this from happening.
Slows Database Performance
A highly normalized database with many tables and joins between the tables is slower than a database without those attributes. Many people using a normalized database at the same time also can slow down database speed. In some cases, a certain amount of denormalization of the database may be required to improve database speed.
Requires Detailed Analysis and Design
Normalizing a database is a complex and difficult task. Large databases with considerable amounts of information, such as ones run by banks, require careful analysis and design before they are normalized. Knowing the intended use of a database, such as whether it should it be optimized for reading data, writing data or both, also affects how it is normalized. A poorly normalized database may perform badly and store data inefficiently.

How to Make Simple Lingerie Shower CookiesIn Feburary 2016 02,

In Feburary 2016 02,
Make some sugar cookies. The cookies should be heart shaped, even if you use store bought cookie mix. Make sure you have a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
Make sugar cookie icing for your lingerie shower cookies. Pink and black are the colors you need for the cookies here, but you can use any color. It's a good idea to prepare the icing the night before the lingerie shower. Once you have the icing, pour it into a ketchup or mustard squeeze bottle, because it's easier to work with. If you do not know how to make sugar cookie icing, please see Additional Resources below.
Decorate the cookies for the lingerie shower. For the bra: Turn the cookies upside down, so that the point is at the top. Halfway down the cookie, make a deep v shape, coming to a point just above where the heart halves. After the lines are put on, fill in the bra with your chosen color, in this case, black. Dot the pink icing on the bra, as well as on the trim. Make sure to add the bow to the middle. Allow the icing to dry several for several hours before the lingerie shower.
To make the panties:Turn the cookies upside down again and make a curved line at the halfway point of the cookie. It should only be curved slightly. This is for the top of the pantie. Now for each side: Start below the curved line you just made, leaving room to fill in. Draw a rainbow shaped curve, downward, until it ends just on each side of where the center of the heart is. Fill in with black. Dot the pink icing around the edges of the legs and just on the inside of the pantie on top. Allow the cookie icing to dry for several hours.Enjoy your lingerie shower with matching cookies.
