How to Set up a Free Classified SiteIn Feburary 2016 22,

In Feburary 2016 22,
Come up with a plan for your classified website. Figure out what type of classified ad site you want to set up. Go online and do your research of various online classified scripts before you make your purchase. Look in Resources for recommendations.
Register your domain name (see Resources). The domain name registrar will give you access to your domain's control panel.
Purchase a hosting package. Make sure your Web hosting package meets all the requirements of your script for it to install and work properly. If you are not sure, contact tech support. Setting up the hosting will give you access to your FTP server and your DNS server entries.
Purchase a classified script. Download and unpack the script on your computer, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Log into your domain's control panel and change its DNS settings to point to your Web host's server.
Log into your Web host's CPanel and look for the MySQL icon. Open it to create a database for your classified script. If you are not sure about how to do this, contact the script's tech support team for help.
Download an FTP program. An FTP program transfers files between your computer and your Web host.
Log into your Web host's server using your FTP program and its authentication settings. Now upload the script files to your Web host's server.
Open your Web browser, type your Web address in the Search box and click 'Search.' You should see your new classified website.

How to Find Construction Jobs to Bid onIn Feburary 2016 20,

In Feburary 2016 20,
Sign up for the Blue Book's BB Bid program. The Blue Book is a free resource that is found in almost every construction office in North America. It lists contractors by trade and region. Visit the Blue Book website to get your company listed free of charge. As contractors begin to see your name in the Blue Book, they will send bid invitations your way. This is an especially useful way for out-of-state contractors to find local companies to perform work.
Complete the American Institute of Architect's (AIA) Subcontractor Qualification form No. A305. This form is considered a standard resource to help contractors and owners evaluate new subcontracting companies. You can find this form on the AIA website.
Visit contractors and ask about construction bidding opportunities. Provide them with a copy of your completed A305 to give them an indication of your company's abilities. Ask how you can be placed on their company bid list. Most contractors will send bid invitations to all contractors on the bid list automatically, so the more contractors that put you on their lists, the better.
Look online. Most contractors have websites, and often they will list jobs they are accepting bids for on their site. In these situations, they will often have plans and specifications listed as well. By sending your bid in on these jobs, you are getting your company name out, so the more bids you send, the better.
Check into state and federal jobs. Most municipal jobs are open to all bidders, and drawings can often be found on the organization's website. Check with your state to see what's available in your area. This is an especially good construction bidding opportunity for minority business owners, who often are in high demand for municipal jobs due to minority participation requirements.

How to Set Up a CentOS Email ServerIn Feburary 2016 19,

In Feburary 2016 19,
Open a terminal by clicking 'Applications,' 'Accessories,' and 'Terminal.'
Type 'sudo yum install postfix.i386.' Give the root password if asked and answer 'yes' to any questions. PostFix is used to send and receive email from the Internet. Type 'sudo yum install dovecot.' Again, give the root password and answer yes to any questions you are asked by the installer. Dovecot will provide users with IMAP or POP3 access to their email accounts.
Edit the configuration file for Postfix. Type 'sudo nano /etc/postfix/main.cf' to open the configuration file in the Nano text editor. The defaults will work well for most systems, but a more sophisticated mail server will require you to specify some of the options in the configuration file. The most important setting is 'home_mailbox.' This will be each user's mailbox directory in their homepage. If you wish to use the Maildir format, the directory should end with a trailing forward slash, like this:home_mailbox = mail/Another option is the mbox format, and to use this format, simply leave off the trailing forward slash: home_mailbox = mailBoth formats are powerful, however there are subtle and complex differences between them. Whichever you choose to use, remember that choice. Find the 'myhostname' and 'mydomain' settings and give them the domain name you have associated with your computer. For example, if you own the domain name 'happy.com,' the options should read:myhostname=mail.happy.com
mydomain=happy.comYou can exit nano by hitting Ctrl-O (to save) and Ctrl-X (to exit.)
Edit the configuration file for Dovecot. Type 'sudo nano /etc/dovecot.conf.' The most important option is protocols. Ensure that this includes the protocol you wish your email users to use. The most popular options are 'imap' and 'pop3,' and you can enable secure connections by appending an 's' to each option.
Set the mail location to the same directory you chose in Step 3. Precede it with the format you choose in step 3. For example:mail_location = maildir:~/mailormail_location = mbox:~/mailFinally, if you use a 64-bit version of CentOS, change the 'login_process_size' to '64.'
Create a user mailbox. Type the following:mkdir /home/bill/mail
chown bill:bill /home/bill/mail
chmod -R 700 /home/john/mailThis creates the mail directory, ensures that the user owns his mail directory, and allows him to access it. This must be repeated for each user who has an email account. In this example, 'bill' has the email account 'bill@happy.com.'
Start the server. Type this code in the terminal:chkconfig --level 345 dovecot on
/etc/init.d/dovecot start
/etc/init.d/postfix start

How to Start a Charity Website for FreeIn Feburary 2016 14,

In Feburary 2016 14,
Evaluate your short-term and long-term website needs. If you are fundraising for only a few months, you may not need a website a year from now. However, if you have just started your own charity and plan to be around for the long-term, you will probably want to migrate to a fully hosted website with its own domain name as soon as you can justify the cost.
Look up available domain names for your charity. Most charities and non-profits use a .org domain. For example, the Red Cross uses redcross.org and the American Cancer Society uses cancer.org. To find available domain names, go to the Public Interest Registry website at PIR.org, which manages all .org domains.
Use your charity name if it's available. If it's not available, try using your charity's acronym, an acronym with your location, or words related to your work. Register your domain or make a point of registering it as soon as possible. Domain names cost about $10 per year. You can buy the domain name now and get a Web hosting service later.
Creating a Free Website
Browse any of the free website platforms available online. Some websites, such as Tumblr.com, WordPress.com and Weebly.com, can be used by anyone. Other websites, like Crowdrise.com and JustGiving.com are specifically for charities.
Evaluate your available skills. If someone in your organization has Web design and development experience, it may not matter which platform you choose. If you plan to migrate your free website to a fully hosted domain using WordPress, using WordPress.com now will make it easier to transfer later. If you prefer a user-friendly interface like Weebly.com, you can upgrade from its free plan to your own domain name later without changing your current website at all.
Read the terms and conditions of the website platform you've chosen before starting work. Some platforms may appear to be free until you try to launch your website, or may require payment for the features you want to use. Most free platforms bring in revenue by placing ads on your Web pages. If this is inappropriate, consider buying a Web hosting plan with your own domain name rather than using a free service.
Use the onscreen tutorials to build your Web page. Create an About page telling people what your charity does. Include a Contact page with your phone number, email address and location so people can get in touch with you. If your charity has tax exempt status, put this information on your Contact page or About page as well.

How to Plan a Pleasure PartyIn Feburary 2016 08,

In Feburary 2016 08,
Contact your friends to plan the pleasure party. Choose a host and then come up with a short list of dates that work for everyone in the group.
Contact a pleasure party rep. If your group knows someone who hosts pleasure parties, then contact them. Otherwise, look for a group like Scarlet Girl (link in resources section), which can help you plan the perfect party.
Choose a date with your rep.
Set up a little bit ahead of time and make sure that the guests arrive before the rep so that you can all get down to the business of pleasure when she arrives.
Enjoy the party! There should be plenty of snacks, plenty of laughs and hopefully some money exchanged.

How to Delete WebsitesIn Feburary 2016 05,

In Feburary 2016 05,
Delete the website files on a UNIX server by using Telnet to access the top directory of the files that make up your website. Enter the UNIX command rm --r [directory] where directory is the name of the parent directory. This will delete all the sub-directories under the website at once. If the parent directory is still there, change to a higher level directory by entering cd followed by to periods. Then type rmdir [directory] where directory is the name of the parent.
Use an FTP program like WS_FTP to access the website files. With this method you will have to work from the bottom up, deleting files in sub-directories and then parent directories, so it is more cumbersome and in the case of a complicated website, can take quite a while.
Delete a website using Adobe Dreamweaver by clicking on 'Site,' then 'Manage Sites.' Highlight the website to be removed and click on 'Remove.' Confirm the action when asked. Microsoft Expression should have a similar function.
Check with the Web host to see if they have a file management system where the user can remove web files directly. You may be able to direct them to remove the website for you with the appropriate authorization. Alternatively, cancel the hosting plan. When you stop paying for the website, the Web hosting company will remove the website for you. Not renewing the domain name when it is due would accomplish the same thing.
Disable a website temporarily by changing the name of the index.html file to something else like index.old. Since most links to a website start at the index.html or index.htm page, even though this isn't typed in the URL box, this will effectively remove the website from access. This won't work if the starting page of the website does not have index.html or index.htm page.

How to Make a Webcomic WebsiteIn Feburary 2016 03,

In Feburary 2016 03,
Webcomics can be solo efforts or exercises in teamwork. For example, Penny Arcade is a partnership between writer Jerry Holkins and artist Mike Krahulik, while VG Cats is created entirely by Scott Ramsoomair. If you have the skill to handle both writing and illustration, you can launch a solo comic. However, having a fellow artist involved gives you time to focus on a single aspect of the comic, while your partner handles the rest -- effectively reducing a stressful workload. These aren't the only useful elements to a webcomic team, however. As Cat-Nine author Kevin Dangoy points out, having a 'Web guy' who knows how to build and maintain the site itself can be vital. Take on the roles you can handle but don't be afraid to branch out to willing collaborators.
Developing Your Comic
After you have a creative team in place or decide to go it alone, it's time to begin development. Work out what you want your comic to be about, who the primary characters are, what kind of narrative structure you want to use and all your character designs. Get a solid bead on just what your comic is and how it looks -- a slapped-together comic is less likely to succeed than one that is well planned. You'll need to master image-editing software like Adobe Photoshop or GIMP.
Finding Web Hosting
After you have your ideas all worked out and a few strips ready for the launch, find somewhere to host your comic. You can use a free blogging site like Blogger to start or one of the free Web hosting services. Take a close look at the free Web hosting services tailored specifically to webcomics, including Comic Genesis, The Duck, Smack Jeeves and Comic Fury. Free Web hosting has limitations; you may need to shop around to find one that suits your needs best. Premium hosting and domain services maximize performance and options; you can start with one of these services or switch when your comic grows in popularity.
Building the Site
Building the site itself requires some skill with HTML and CSS, even with free Web hosting. You or your Web expert will need to carefully tailor the site to work around advertisements and function smoothly while still making your comic easy to read and access. Depending on the desired complexity, the skill level required can be basic or advanced. You'll also need an FTP program so you can transfer the comics themselves to your website's server.
Helpful Tips
Artist Julie Miyamoto suggests that you create a backlog of comics and space out the release dates. By releasing your backlog incrementally over time, you have time to work on another batch or take a break. She also suggests that you avoid filler whenever possible, as fillers detract from overall plot progress. She suggests that you keep concepts broad enough to appeal to a wide audience without alienating your primary readers. Bill Watterson's 'Calvin and Hobbes' serves as a good example; many of the strips require almost no reading.

How to Make Simple Lingerie Shower CookiesIn Feburary 2016 02,

In Feburary 2016 02,
Make some sugar cookies. The cookies should be heart shaped, even if you use store bought cookie mix. Make sure you have a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
Make sugar cookie icing for your lingerie shower cookies. Pink and black are the colors you need for the cookies here, but you can use any color. It's a good idea to prepare the icing the night before the lingerie shower. Once you have the icing, pour it into a ketchup or mustard squeeze bottle, because it's easier to work with. If you do not know how to make sugar cookie icing, please see Additional Resources below.
Decorate the cookies for the lingerie shower. For the bra: Turn the cookies upside down, so that the point is at the top. Halfway down the cookie, make a deep v shape, coming to a point just above where the heart halves. After the lines are put on, fill in the bra with your chosen color, in this case, black. Dot the pink icing on the bra, as well as on the trim. Make sure to add the bow to the middle. Allow the icing to dry several for several hours before the lingerie shower.
To make the panties:Turn the cookies upside down again and make a curved line at the halfway point of the cookie. It should only be curved slightly. This is for the top of the pantie. Now for each side: Start below the curved line you just made, leaving room to fill in. Draw a rainbow shaped curve, downward, until it ends just on each side of where the center of the heart is. Fill in with black. Dot the pink icing around the edges of the legs and just on the inside of the pantie on top. Allow the cookie icing to dry for several hours.Enjoy your lingerie shower with matching cookies.
