Select a domain name for your website. Take some time with this and make sure that the domain name you choose is descriptive and spelled correctly.
Navigate to Go Daddy (godaddy.com) and register your domain name.
Go to HostGator (hostgator.com) and register for a hosting plan for your website. Choose a plan that will suit your current and future goals. If you think you'll eventually have more than one blog in the near future, it's a good financial decision to purchase a plan that will let you host more than one site for one low price, rather than paying $5 per site each month.
After completing your host plan purchase, HostGator will send you a confirmation email thanking you for your purchase. The site will also send you an email with the subject line, 'Your HostGator Account Information.' Save this email (save a hard copy by using your computer printer, and save it in your email account).
Navigate to Go Daddy once again, and log in.
From the top navigation bar, click 'Domains' and select 'My domains' from the drop-down menu. A new page or tab (depending on your browser) will appear, listing all of the domains you've purchased from Go Daddy. Check the box next to the one you want to host on HostGator. After checking the box, a navigation bar will fill in above the domain name list.
Click 'Nameservers.' This will open up a new section at the top of your screen.
Select the 'Custom nameservers (I host my domains elsewhere)' radio button.
Open up the saved email that HostGator sent you and find the section that states, 'Your name servers:'
In the Go Daddy Nameservers Control Panel, replace the nameserver in the 'nameserver 1' box with the first value that HostGator sent you. It should look like XXXXXX.hostgator.com (with the Xs being your unique values that HostGator assigned).
Next, replace the nameserver in the 'nameserver 2' box with the second value that HostGator sent you. It should look like XXXXXX.hostgator.com (with the Xs being your unique values that HostGator gave you).
Click the orange 'Okay' button to finish the process.
Log in to your HostGator account. Add your Go Daddy domain to your hosting plan and you're done.

How to Find Construction Jobs to Bid onIn Feburary 2016 20,
In Feburary 2016 20,
Sign up for the Blue Book's BB Bid program. The Blue Book is a free resource that is found in almost every construction office in North America. It lists contractors by trade and region. Visit the Blue Book website to get your company listed free of charge. As contractors begin to see your name in the Blue Book, they will send bid invitations your way. This is an especially useful way for out-of-state contractors to find local companies to perform work.
Complete the American Institute of Architect's (AIA) Subcontractor Qualification form No. A305. This form is considered a standard resource to help contractors and owners evaluate new subcontracting companies. You can find this form on the AIA website.
Visit contractors and ask about construction bidding opportunities. Provide them with a copy of your completed A305 to give them an indication of your company's abilities. Ask how you can be placed on their company bid list. Most contractors will send bid invitations to all contractors on the bid list automatically, so the more contractors that put you on their lists, the better.
Look online. Most contractors have websites, and often they will list jobs they are accepting bids for on their site. In these situations, they will often have plans and specifications listed as well. By sending your bid in on these jobs, you are getting your company name out, so the more bids you send, the better.
Check into state and federal jobs. Most municipal jobs are open to all bidders, and drawings can often be found on the organization's website. Check with your state to see what's available in your area. This is an especially good construction bidding opportunity for minority business owners, who often are in high demand for municipal jobs due to minority participation requirements.

How to Find Which Fonts Are Missing in PowerPointIn Feburary 2016 19,
In Feburary 2016 19,
Save your presentation on the original computer where you created it. Send it to yourself via email or FTP so that you can access it on the computer that may not have all of the fonts.
Load the presentation on the other computer, preferably where you plan to make or send your presentation. Make sure that the other computer has Microsoft PowerPoint 2004 or later installed so that you can open the file properly.
View the 'Missing Default Fonts' dialog box that appears if some of the fonts don't translate to the new computer. The dialog box lists each font name and informs you that it will replace them with similar fonts. It also gives you the option to take down the names of the missing fonts, then close out of the file and install them onto the other computer system.
Return to your first computer and open the original PowerPoint file with the information about missing fonts in hand. You can replace these missing fonts with more common font types (like Arial or Times New Roman) as another alternative to get the presentation to display correctly on the other computer system.

Is Flickr a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?In Feburary 2016 15,
In Feburary 2016 15,
A content delivery network is simply a way to describe a method for getting information to you over the Internet. Without a CDN, when someone requests information from you, a central server sends the information out over the Internet. If the client is geographically located in a faraway place, it can take quite some time for the information to flow through all the required Internet servers before it reaches its destination. With a CDN, instead of a single central server your information is duplicated on a number of servers located around the world. When someone requests information from you, the user is automatically directed to the server that's physically closest to him.
CDN Benefits
The largest benefit of a CDN is the reduction in time that it takes to deliver information to you. While generally it only takes a extra few hundred milliseconds to send data across the world, if your user is loading a Web page with a number of files, all those extra hundreds of milliseconds add up to a fairly long wait time. CDNs also help reduce traffic on your main servers, allowing many more people to download your information at once without causing a traffic bottleneck.
Flickr
On its face, Flickr is not a CDN. Flickr is simply a website that allows you to store, display and access image files. While many websites do use Flickr for content delivery, for instance, by having a Web page link to images stored on Flickr, the service isn't intended to be a method for reducing content access speeds. However, if your single server is getting bombarded with requests and is spending most of its time uploading images to users, using Flickr to store those images instead of your server is one option that will give you some relief similar to a CDN-based solution.
Does Flickr Use a CDN?
Since Flickr serves users around the world, you may automatically assume that it uses a CDN, but that's not necessarily true. Traceroutes -- which measure the paths and delays of packets as they travel across a network -- to the same page from around the world show that Flickr uses a CDN for most of the static imagery on the site, like the logos and company information, but not for the images. This makes sense, as duplicating a database the size of Flickr's several times would result in an enormous use of data, most of which would be useless as these images are rarely accessed from multiple physical locations.

What Is a 1099In Feburary 2016 15,
In Feburary 2016 15,
A 1099-INT form summarizes the interest income you've received during the year. Interest income is the amount of money you receive on earnings from savings accounts, bonds and certain treasury accounts. The interest you earn on certain types of savings accounts is taxable, just like earned income from a job. The banks where you hold your accounts send these forms at tax time, usually before February 1.
Sections
The 1099-INT form shows basic information about you as the account holder, including name, address, and account number. In addition to the interest income earned for the year, it also shows any early withdrawal penalty and federal income tax paid on the earnings. If any of the interest earnings were tax-exempt, meaning that you weren't required to pay tax on the amount, that figure is also printed on the 1099-INT form.
1099-INT from the State
In some cases, the state may send a 1099-INT form to a taxpayer to account for interest earned on tax refund payments due. For instance, if the taxpayer overpaid his obligation for the year, the state revenue office may pay him interest for the time the office held onto the extra funds. The same is sometimes true for localities -- towns and cities.
Other Considerations
It is possible to receive more than one 1099-INT form in one year. For instance, if you have more than one bank savings account earning interest, you receive a form for each of those accounts. If you do not receive all of your 1099-INT forms by February 1, you can sometimes log into your bank accounts to retrieve the forms online. It is common for banks to provide printable 1099-INT forms for retrieval over the Internet.

Create the FTP command file with a list of commands that the FTP client will execute. The following VBA code fragment creates such a file:Dim ftpFileHandle As IntegerftpFileHandle = FreeFileOpen 'ftpCommand.txt' For Output As #ftpFileHandlePrint #ftpFileHandle, 'open ftpserver.com'Print #ftpFileHandle, 'userid'Print #ftpFileHandle, 'password'Print #ftpFileHandle, 'send localfile.xls'Print #ftpFileHandle, 'recv remotefile.doc'Print #ftpFileHandle, 'bye'Close #ftpFileHandleReplace 'ftpserver.com' with the name of the FTP server, 'userid' with the name of your account in that server and 'password' with your password. The sample code uploads a spreadsheet contained in a file named 'localfile.xls' and downloads a document contained in a file named 'remotefile.doc.' You can use any of the commands from the 'List of FTP Commands' on the NSF Tools website before closing the session with 'bye.'
Create a batch, or executable script, file that invokes the FTP client to have it execute the FTP command file. The following VBA code fragment creates such a file:Dim batFileHandle As IntegerbatFileHandle = FreeFileOpen 'doFtp.bat' For Output As #batFileHandlePrint #batFileHandle, 'ftp -s:ftpCommand.txt'Close #batFileHandle
Execute the batch file by including the following line in your VBA code:Shell ('doFtp.bat'), vbHide '', vbMinimizedNoFocusNote that the line contains two single quotes, without any character between them, immediately before the second comma. Your VBA program will invoke the batch file that, in turn, will invoke the FTP client and have it execute the sequence of commands from Step 1.

How to Rebuild Dynaco A25 SpeakersIn Feburary 2016 09,
In Feburary 2016 09,
Pry the grille frames out of the speakers, exposing the drivers. Unscrew the nameplate from the front of the grille, and remove the cloth from the frame. Using the old cloth as a sizing template, cut new cloth and attach it by wrapping it around the frame edges and stapling it in place.
Unscrew the woofers and tweeters and unsolder their connections. Send the woofers to a reputable reconer. Ask for new woofer terminal boards, original equipment cones, voice coils, dust caps and butyl rubber surrounds.
Cut the leads of the capacitors protecting the tweeters and pull them out. Hot glue new 5.1 uF capacitors in place and solder the leads back in place.
Solder the tweeter leads onto the new tweeters, observing polarity. Screw the tweeters back in place. Cut a rectangle of automotive felt to fit inside the tweeter part of the grille frame. Cut a 3-inch round hole in the felt where the tweeter will fire through. Apply contact cement to the felt rectangle and the area on the front baffle where it will fit around the tweeter and inside the grille frame. Dry to tack and apply.
Resolder the woofer leads, observing polarity. Screw the woofers back in place.
Lightly sand scratches and apply heavy Danish rubbing oil to restore the finish.

How to Check MySQL Null on PHPIn Feburary 2016 06,
In Feburary 2016 06,
Open your PHP source file in a text editor, such as Windows Notepad.
Use the 'mysql_query(query)' function to send a MySQL query to the active database. For example, '$result=mysql_query('Select my_var from my_table');'.
Use the 'mysql_fetch_assoc(result)' function inside a 'while' loop to fetch rows from the MySQL result. For example, 'while ($my_values=mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) {'.
Use the 'is_null(variable)' function inside the 'while' loop to determine if a field from a returned row has a NULL value. For example, if (is_null($my_values['my_var'])) { echo 'is NULL'; } }' will print 'is NULL' for any values of 'my_var' that are NULL.
Save the PHP file.
