How to Read an XLS File in PHPIn Feburary 2016 22,

In Feburary 2016 22,
Go to the PHP Excel Reader download site, and download the package called 'php-excel-reader' (see Resources).
Unzip the downloaded file by double-clicking on it.
Upload the file called 'excel_reader2.php' to your website. Use FTP or your Web hosting service's file upload service to do this. The file should be placed in a folder where your PHP scripts can find it. You can put it in the same folder as the PHP script you wish to read Excel files in, or you can put it in a folder that is in the 'include path.' The 'include path' is a set of folders where you can put files that your PHP script will always be able to find, even if your script is in a totally different place. Your website might have a folder called 'includes' that is in the include path. If it does, put 'excel_reader2.php' there. If it doesn't, put it in the same folder as the PHP scripts with which you wish to use it.
Read an XLS File
Upload an Excel file to use as an example. Create a simple Excel file, and save it as 'example.xls'. Open the file and fill in the first three columns of the first row with the words 'column 1', 'column 2' and 'column 3'. Then on the second row, fill the first three columns with the text '1-1', '2-1' and '3-1'. Then fill the first three columns of the third row with the text '1-2', '2-2' and '3-2'. Save the file and upload it to the same folder where you uploaded excel_reader2.php.
Open your favorite text editor, and save a text file called 'example.php'. This will be your PHP script for this tutorial.
Write your PHP script to open the Excel file, read the table of data and then print the data out in the user's Web browser. Use this code to do it:
rowcount(); $r++) { //walk through each rowfor ($c = 1; $c
colcount(); $c++) { //walk through each column
echo $xls->raw($r, $c) . ' '; //Display the data in that cell
}echo '\n'; //make a new line at the end of each row} echo '
'; //close the HTML we made earlier?>
Save and upload your PHP file to your website. If you were able to put PHP Excel Reader in the include path, you may put your PHP file wherever you wish. If not, put your PHP file in the same folder as PHP Excel Reader.
To check your work, visit example.php in your Web browser. You should see the table of data from your Excel file printed in your browser window.

How to Change the Default Rendering on SSRSIn Feburary 2016 18,

In Feburary 2016 18,
Locate the report you will be creating a link to using the ReportServer portal in SSRS. Typically, this is found at http://servername/ReportServer. The interface will be minimal, but will display the same folders and reports as the Report Manager.
Copy the URL. Note that the URL may contain several parameters, but the part to look for is the report path, which can be found between the '?' and the first '&', if any exists. In the following example, the report path is '/Folder/Report%20Name':http://servername/ReportServer?/Folder/Report%20Name&rs:Command=Render
Create a new URL using the report path with some additional parameters to specify the rendering format. The 'rs:Format' parameter specifies the rendering format for the report. The following values are common for a default installation of SSRS: HTML4.0, MHTML, IMAGE, EXCEL, PDF and CSV. The 'rs:Command' parameter set to 'Render' instructs the report server to render the report in the specified format.For example, for a URL that always renders the report as a PDF document, use the following:http://servername/ReportServer?/Folder/Report%20Name&rs:Format=PDF&rs:Command=Render
Render a report as an Excel document this way:http://servername/ReportServer?/Folder/Report%20Name&rs:Format=EXCEL&rs:Command=Render

How to Create Host a WebsiteIn Feburary 2016 07,

In Feburary 2016 07,
Start with a pen and paper and sketch out a site map. The map should begin with the website's home page and branch out from there. It is similar in structure to an organization chart that shows the hierarchy of a corporation. The home page is the CEO and the other pages on the site are employees.
Still using pen and paper, sketch out what the web pages will look like. Decide what elements, such as text, images and video need to be on the pages and where each element will go.
Gather the images, text, video and other elements to be placed on the page together in one place in one folder.
Choose web design software. Adobe Dreamweaver is the industry standard for professional web page design, but there are many free or inexpensive web design programs, such as NVU Open Source Web Builder and WYSIWYG Web Builder Five, which can be downloaded at no cost. These programs are fine for building personal websites.
Working from the initial sketch, lay out the web pages that comprise the site using the web design software. Start with the home page of the site, which must be named 'Index.html.' Other pages on the site can have any name the creator wants.
Using the site map as a guide, make sure the pages of the site are linked together so that users can get from one page to another.
Preview the site in multiple web browsers. The site should appear as it looks when viewed with the web design software. If any page does not look the same in a browser as it does when viewed with the web design software, edit the page until the problem is solved.
Hosting a Website
Register a domain name at Register.com or a similar service.
Decide what kind of web hosting package is needed. Prices range from around seven dollars a month for basic service to thirty dollars a month for multiple website hosting with unlimited storage.
Purchase a hosting package.
Follow the instructions provided by the hosting company to move the completed website to the host servers.
