How to Make a Java Game With NetBeansIn Feburary 2016 21,
In Feburary 2016 21,
Download and install the appropriate version of NetBeans for your system. If you are running 64-bit or 32-bit Windows, there are specific versions of the software for both of these operating systems. You will be prompted to set some defaults of the tool. It is best to accept the default values for all of the fields, since not doing so can lead to you being unable to compile your game from within the tool.
Launch NetBeans, then select 'New Java Project' from the file menu. You will be asked to select where you want to save your project. NetBeans projects can be saved anywhere on your hard drive or on a remote network drive. Give it a name that is both descriptive yet simple enough to remember.
Develop or purchase any art assets that you are going to need for your game. Popular illustration tools include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and the free and open source Inkscape. When developing models for the player characters and any other characters that will be utilized in the game, save them as PNGs, since PNGs have transparent backgrounds by default.
Click on the Java file that NetBeans created for you when you created the project. NetBeans has already generated some code for you, including a main method; in Java, the compiler begins running your code starting with the main method. Since there are so many different types of games that can be written in Java, it is impossible to offer any specific code here, but there is one thing that every game is going to have: an update method. The update method checks what changes have been made in the game world periodically.
Hit F5 to compile your project. Any errors that are found in your game will be displayed in the debugging window at the bottom of your screen. These errors will need to be fixed before you can successfully compile your project.

How Do I Create a Hyperlink to a Zipped File?In Feburary 2016 19,
In Feburary 2016 19,
Upload the zipped file to your web server, into whatever directory or folder you'd like it to be. You can upload the file using your website hosting control panel or any basic FTP client software.
Save a copy of your web page to your hard drive--save just the page on which you want to create the link. You can save the file using your web browser, the web hosting control panel, or by downloading it with your FTP software.
Open your web page HTML file with a basic text editor such as Windows Notepad, NoteTab or Notepad++.
Select the location in your web page that you'd like to create the hyperlink. Remember that you are viewing the raw HTML code when it's open in a text editor, so you'll need to be sure you place your new hyperlink anywhere after the opening body tag (
), but before the closing body tag (
).
Craft your hyperlink using the full HTML path to your zipped file, like this:Zipped' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>http://www.yourwebsite.com/folder/zipped.zip">Zipped File'yourwebsite.com' will of course by your own website domain name and extension.
'folder' will be the folder name into which you placed the zip file.
'zipped.zip' will be the actual name of the zipped file for which you are creating the hyperlink.
The words 'Zipped File' will be the words that show as linked on your web page, and they can be whatever you'd like. 'Click here to download this zipped file' for example, would be a nice descriptive phrase that tells people exactly what to do.
Save the changes to your web page file, then reload it onto your web server to make the changes live on your site.

Check to determine if your physical server meets the hardware requirement of the hypervisor that you want to use. A hypervisor is the operating system that manages the virtual servers. Some hypervisors require specific hardware to install at all.
Save the data and/or configuration of the appliance currently running on the physical server.
Put the disc in the reader and install the hypervisor. Hypervisors install like any other operating system.
Virtual Server
Once installed, you will be able to boot in the hypervisor console. Refer to your manual to create a Virtual Machine (VM). Choose what CPU power, memory and storage amount the VM will have access to. The CPU power, RAM amount and storage amount can be changed after creation if your appliance's needs go up.
Install the operating system using an ISO (image of a disk stored on a hard drive), a disk or the network. The installation and configuration is identical to an installation on a physical server. Install and configure the appliance.
Repeat the process for all of the appliances you want to install in virtual servers on the physical server.

How to Upgrade OpenCartIn Feburary 2016 10,
In Feburary 2016 10,
Remove any OpenCart software from the computer and website that you are going to be working with. It is often best to make this site, or at least the shopping-cart portion of it, inaccessible while you are working so customers will not lose their work.
Download the latest version of OpenCart from the official OpenCart website's download page. (See Resource one). Click 'Save to computer' and save the file to your desktop.
Open the FTP program supported by your website. Upload all of the files and folders found under the 'Upload' folder within the files you just downloaded to your website. Make sure that the files image/, image/cache/, cache/, download/, config.php and admin/config.php grant read and write permissions when you upload them.
Upload your MySQL database with a username and password already assigned to it.
Visit your website's home page using your internet browser and sign in using the MySQL username and password that you created. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish the installation of OpenCart.
Delete the installation directory from your web uploads after OpenCart has been completely installed.
Upgrading Without Uninstalling
Determine which version of OpenCart you are currently running. Right click the exe or other OpenCart files on your web server and select Properties to see which version you are running.
Go to the OpenCart official download page and upgrade your OpenCart software one step at a time. Download the version that came immediately after your current version.
Open the Upgrade notes for the version you just downloaded and replace the specified files in your current version with the files directed from the upgrade notes (See Resource 2). Continue doing this for each version that came after your current version until your OpenCart software is up to date.

Start Windows PowerShell by clicking the Windows 'Start' button and typing 'powershell' into the 'Search programs and files' text box. This will open the Windows PowerShell console.
Type 'notepad split.ps1' in the PowerShell console to open Microsoft Notepad and create a new script called 'split.ps1.' Click 'Yes' when prompted by Notepad to allow the new file to be created.
Type the following commands into the new file, then save the file:$text = 'Windows PowerShell - Hello world!'$split = $text.split('-')echo $split[0]echo $split[1]First, a string is created named '$text' which holds the text to be split. The string is then split using the PowerShell 'Split' function, passing in the character the string is to be split by. In the code above, the string is split at the location of the hyphen. This creates an array in '$split' with two elements. The first element contains all the text up to the hyphen and the second element contains all the text after the hyphen. The contents of the two elements are then displayed to verify the command has worked.
Run the script in PowerShell by typing '.\split.ps1' and the display will show the output below, indicating the command was successful:Windows PowerShellHello World!
