How to Create a Talk Show on YouTubeIn Feburary 2016 27,

In Feburary 2016 27,
Set up a YouTube account. Go to YouTube.com and click 'Sign Up' and fill in the form with your information. You'll be able to sign in and upload videos once your account has been created and activated.
Create a set for your talk show. It can be as casual or formal as you like, just make sure the area is well lit and free of ambient noise.
Develop a concept and content. This will not only help you plan your shows and determine who to book as guests but will also help you to establish an angle to distinguish your show from the millions of other videos on YouTube. Go with what you're interested in, whether it be a lighthearted showcase of your friends' talents or a chance to interview local public figures who are making a difference in your community.
Videotape your first episode. Make sure to practice with your camera before filming to avoid any mishaps.
Connect your camera to your computer with a USB cable or docking station. Transfer the video file to your computer and save it so you can upload it to YouTube.
Log into your YouTube account and click 'Upload Video.' Give your video a title, description, video category and tags. Set your broadcast, date and sharing options and then click the button that says 'Upload a Video.' YouTube accepts such video formats as .wmv, .avi, .mov and .mpg.
Click 'Browse' when you get to the next page. Find your video file on your computer, double-click on the file and click on 'Upload Video.' The page will say 'Upload Complete' if your video uploaded correctly.
Set a schedule for your show. You can tape once a day, once a week or once a month, but keep in mind that writing and recording a show will take a good chunk of time. Think about how much free time you have and take that into account when you're setting your schedule.

How to Create a Video Hosting WebsiteIn Feburary 2016 26,

In Feburary 2016 26,
Purchase a domain name for your website. A domain name is the address your customers will type in to access your site (yourvideohostingsite.com). Domain registrars typically charge between $1 to more than $14 per year.
Obtain web hosting for your site. A web host maintains various servers that manages the content and your subscribers who will come to your website. Choose a web host that provides a lot of memory for the lowest cost because your videos may require much memory. Web hosts can charge anywhere from $3 to more than $100 a month.
Determine if you would like to provide videos or if you want your subscribers to upload their own videos to your site, like YouTube. Answer this question before you start creating a website because the programming code required for others to upload videos will be different than if you want to upload videos yourself.
Sketch out the content, look and feel of your website using either a piece of paper and/or word processing software. You must know ahead of time what colors you would like to use and your welcome message, along with other information. Use a word processing software, such as Microsoft Word, that can be sent to your web designer.
Hire a freelance web designer to create your website. Hire your freelance web designer from sites like GetAFreelancer.com or Elance.com. Web designers from around the world will bid on your project based on your budget. Ensure your web designer has experience with programming codes necessary to upload videos.
Invite friends and family at different times of the day to access your site to view and upload videos to ensure there are no technical issues that need to be resolved before you go live.

How to Publish a Web Site in Asp.NetIn Feburary 2016 21,

In Feburary 2016 21,
Obtain from your web hosting company the necessary information to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to upload your files as well as the correct connection string(s) to access a database that is part of your website.
Upload your website files to your web host using FTP. Include the web pages, any image files or other web content files related to the new site.
Replicate any database schema and tables that are part of your website to the web host's database server. Do this either by developing the database on the web hosting company's database server if allowed or with the Database Publishing Wizard that is part of Visual Web Developer (installed with ASP.NET).
Update the web.config file that was uploaded as part of Step 1 so that the database connection string will point to the web host's database server rather than the location on your own PC. This may involve several connection strings if the website includes complications such as additional systems, membership pages, and roles (Admin, Full User or Limited Use, for example).
Test all connections and features of the hosted website for functionality. Correct any bugs or non-working parts on the local computer and then upload the corrected web pages.

How to Fix Internet Explorer When It Is Opening AutomaticallyIn Feburary 2016 21,

In Feburary 2016 21,
Disconnect your computer from your Internet connection. The easiest way to do this is simply to unplug the cable before starting the computer. If your Internet connection is wireless, disable your wireless card. Once your computer is disconnected, restart it. This may stop Internet Explorer from automatically opening windows on a temporary basis while you troubleshoot the problem.
Start your computer in Safe Mode if Internet Explorer is still opening windows that prevent you from troubleshooting. To start in Safe Mode, shut your computer off. Turn it on and immediately begin pressing the F8 key about once a second until you see a menu. Your mouse won't work, but your arrow keys will. Highlight 'Safe Mode' and press Enter. Do not choose 'Safe Mode with Networking.'
Open the Control Panel. In Windows XP, you can reach the Control Panel by clicking 'Start' and choosing 'Control Panel.' Open 'Internet Options.' On the 'General' tab, click 'Delete Cookies.' Click 'Delete Files' and choose to delete offline content. On the Security tab, click 'Default Level' for your Internet zone. On the 'Privacy' tab, click 'Default.' Check 'Block pop-ups' and click 'Settings.' Click 'Remove All' and 'Close.' On the 'Programs' tab, click 'Manage Add-ons.' Disable any add-ons (if you find that an add-on has caused the problem, you may remove it and leave the other add-ons enabled). On the 'Advanced' tab, check 'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts.' Click 'OK.'
Open 'Security Center.' Set 'Firewall,' 'Automatic Updates' and 'Virus Protection' to 'On.' Note whether your virus protection is up to date. Reconnect to the Internet and see if the problem persists.
Repair Internet Explorer if possible. The repair process may require either your original Windows installation disk or a copy of the Windows installation files on your hard drive. Most major computer manufacturers provide you with one or the other. Once you've completed the repair process, restart your computer and test to see if Internet Explorer no longer opens windows automatically.
In Windows Vista, open the Control Panel. Choose 'Internet Options.' On the 'Advanced' tab, click 'Reset.' Click 'OK.' This option may also be available under Windows XP, depending on your version of Internet Explorer. If so, try it before using the separate instructions for repair under Windows XP.
In Windows XP, click 'Start' and choose 'Run.' Type in 'sfc /scannow' without the quotes. Click OK. If you are prompted for your installation disk, provide it.
Malware Infection
Run a full scan of your computer with your anti-virus software. If your anti-virus software is not up to date, try to start your computer normally or in 'Safe Mode with Networking' and update it. If you're unable to get Internet Explorer to stop opening windows long enough to run the update, boot to Safe Mode to run your anti-virus scan.
Run an anti-malware scan like Spybot Serach & Destroy or Ad-Aware. If possible, update your anti-malware product before running the scan. If you don't already have a malware scanner installed, download and install Spybot Search & Destroy from Safer-networking.org or Ad-Aware from Lavasoft.com.
If you can't use Internet Explorer for this purpose but can still access the Internet (i.e. you're able to use Windows without being in Safe Mode), press Window-E on your keyboard to open Windows Explorer. Enter the web page for one of the anti-malware tools in the Address bar and press 'Enter' on your keyboard.'
Restart your computer and test to see if your Internet Explorer is still opening windows automatically. If so, an IT professional may be able to manually clean out or disable the malware causing the problem. If you don't wish to invoke an IT professional, back up your data and re-install Windows.

How do I Set an Anchor in Sitecore?In Feburary 2016 19,

In Feburary 2016 19,
Open Internet Explorer (the recommended browser for Sitecore). In the text box for your Web address, enter in the URL that was given to you by your Web hosting company for Sitecore. Enter the username and password you used to set up your Sitecore account.
Click the '+' button next to the page you would like to edit from the side of your screen. This shows you the various content boxes that are on this page. Click the section into which you want to insert your anchor.
Click the small blue arrow icon next to 'Text' to open the HTML editor. This brings you to a new page in your Web browser and can be used to insert HTML code into your content.
Click the part of the document where you want to insert the anchor. When you link to your anchor, the portion you selected appears at the top of your user's screen. An anchor is not clickable, but serves as a marker to be linked to.
Click on the 'Anchor' icon from the second row of tools in your HTML editor. This is a small, yellow icon in a grey box that looks like an anchor. A text box opens where you can name your anchor. Enter the name you want and click 'Insert.' To remove this anchor, click the icon to the right of the 'Anchor' button, which is a small, red icon that looks like an anchor.
Link to your anchor by defining its name in your hyperlink. For instance, if your Web page is http://www.mysite.com/page and the name of your anchor is part2, you insert the hyperlink http://www.mysite.com/page#part2 anywhere on your site to redirect to this section of your page.

How to Find a WordPress Page on My ServerIn Feburary 2016 14,

In Feburary 2016 14,
Open your server explorer or FTP program so you can see a view of the entries on your server. This requires an active FTP account with your server company, with a correct log-in name and password. You need to be able to see all of the files currently hosted on your server.
Look for WordPress files in the root directory for your domain. If you are hosting a WordPress site, your WordPress package will be installed on your server in the root directory for that site. For example, if your website is called MyBlog.com, look for WordPress files under the directory for 'MyBlog.' Most of the WordPress files within that directory will be identifiable because they are named with the preface 'wp-' such as 'wp-content,' 'wp-admin,' or 'wp-includes.'
Search for WordPress files in other subfolders. If you are hosting a WordPress page, but within a non-WordPress website, look for these 'wp-' files in other sub-folders on the server. They are usually found in a trio, 'wp-content,' 'wp-admin,' and 'wp-includes,' plus approximately 30 files that make up the root of WordPress. For example, if you have a special blogger's page within your MySite.com website, look under the server directory for 'MySite/blogpagename' for WordPress files.
Conduct a search for PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) files, as many WordPress files are PHP files. Open your FTP program's search box and type in '*.PHP' and the search function will locate all PHP files on your server. Note where these PHP files are located, especially in large numbers. You can usually back track and find the remaining WordPress files associated with these PHP files by following these clues.
Run a search on a specific file you remember creating for your WordPress site, such as a unique name for a graphics or picture file. If you can recall uploading a photograph named 'angrycat.jpg,' for example, search for that term, 'angrycat.' Invariably, the picture file will be nestled inside a WordPress image file, which may in turn be found within the Wp-Content folder, and so forth.
Reinstall WordPress. If all else fails and you can neither find a missing WordPress file, nor get your WordPress site to function correctly, reload a fresh copy of WordPress to the proper directory on your server. You can simply discard any duplicate files found by your FTP upload program so you do not need to delete any files currently in the directory folder. Your WordPress 'engine' will be properly installed in the correct location again.

How to Create an Online Fashion MagazineIn Feburary 2016 14,

In Feburary 2016 14,
Choose a magazine topic. From budget fashion to clothing for plus-sized women, topics for online fashion magazines are plentiful. Pick a subject with a wide audience of faithful readers. Find a niche where the competition for new publications is low. After selecting the online fashion magazine’s topic, create an engaging, but memorable name for the publication.
Reserve your domain name and hosting. Enter the name of your online fashion magazine into a domain research engine. Reserve the URL. Domain registration fees can range from free to $10 a month. Hosting fees can cost between a few hundred dollars per year up to the low thousands of dollars.
Create an editorial calendar. Decide whether your online fashion magazine will publish content monthly or quarterly. After this decision is made, plan the specific theme for each publication date. As the editor-in-chief/director of sales for the online publication, the editorial calendar helps you recommend to advertisers which ads will fit the content and fashion layouts planned in each issue adequately.
Design the magazine. To complete your online fashion magazine, make a list of the following components: layout, typeface, number of web pages, and graphical elements required. Hire a graphic designer to help lay out the magazine and design the masthead. Rates for freelance graphic designers range from $25 to $150 per hour, depending upon skill set and areas of expertise.
Hire freelance staff. If your budget permits, hire a minimum of three freelance writers and a marketing guru to help create content and publicity. Hire online writers that have experience with search engine optimization and fashion editorial.
Solicit advertisers. If launching a free publication, seek out regional advertisers to support the costs of production, web hosting and marketing. Before launching the website, send a media kit, advertising rates, a mock of the online fashion magazine, and your editorial calendar to prospective advertisers.
Use free publicity, contests, and blogging to drive readers to your online fashion magazine. Send out press releases to local journalists announcing the launch of your magazine. Use contests and giveaways to build your readership. Add a blog component to your online fashion magazine to encourage two-way communication between your publication and its readers.

How to Insert HTML Values Into an Oracle DatabaseIn Feburary 2016 09,

In Feburary 2016 09,
Create the web page in HTML. Make sure the page includes two text input fields named 'user' and 'password.' Set the form action to call 'input.cgi' from the cgi-bin on your server. Save the HTML as 'info.html.'
Create the server side script. For PERL to speak to a database, you must use the DBI module. The following script shows how to connect to the database:!/usr/bin/perl -wuse CGI;
use DBI;
print 'Content-type: text/html\n\n';
$cgi = CGI->new();
$user = $cgi->param('user');
$password = $cgi->param('password');
$dbh = DBI->connect( 'dbi:Oracle:your_Database_name', 'your_username', 'your_password' )
or die 'Can't connect to Oracle database: $DBI::errstr\n';
You must get the values for 'your_Database_name,' 'your_username,' and 'your_password' from your server administrator. For this tutorial, it is assumed you already have this information.
Write the SQL. To do this, you must have a table set up in Oracle that can receive the two fields. Call the table 'user_auth' and make sure it has a column called 'user' and another one called 'pwd.' The following SQL statement will insert the data into the table:
$sqlstatement='INSERT INTO user_auth VALUES ('$user','$password')';
$sth=$dbh->prepare($sqlstatement);
$sth->execute || print $sqlstatement;
Confirm the data have been entered by including a print command. To do this, add the following line of code to the end of the program:
print 'Information accepted';
If this does not print out, then you can be sure the information was not sent. You must go back and check the database settings. Save the script as 'input.cgi.'
Upload the HTML and CGI files to the server. The HTML must go in docs area, and the CGI must be uploaded to the cgi-bin.
Execute the program. Do this by opening the HTML document in a browser and entering some mock information. Once you submit it, you should see the confirmation printout. If you see the printout, the information has been sent to the database.

How to Block an HTTPS ProxyIn Feburary 2016 09,

In Feburary 2016 09,
Select a web filter to install on your server. Filters such as Safe Squid, Wingate or Guardian Web Filter will identify proxy servers that attempt to identify your network, and will process those requests according to your instructions. Content filters, such as Allegro Surf, can also be used, by setting them to block the word 'proxy.'
Verify that your web filter is compatible with your operating software. Note that if your operating system is newer than the one required by the product, you will be able to use it; problems will occur, however, if you attempt to run a new product on an outdated operating system.
Install the software to your computer and select your options for how to process connections. Click on the option which checks the direct web access or use the firewall to allow only certain known sites. In the 'Web Filters' tab, enter names of the web pages that you want to block or ban. You can also name specific websites that you use for browsing. This prevents unwanted websites from hacking your information. It also stops redundant applications from downloading into your system.

How to Host an Email NewsletterIn Feburary 2016 08,

In Feburary 2016 08,
Create a unique HTML page for each article you wish to include in your newsletter. HTML, which stands for 'Hypertext Markup Language,' allows you to construct webpages and emails using a library of HTML commands. Use an HTML editor, such as FirstPage or Adobe Dreamweaver, for help creating HTML files. Code your HTML from scratch using a simple text editor like NotePad or WordPad, if possible. To 'code' an HTML page means to use Hypertext Markup Language to arrange the text and graphics in the manner in which you want them to appear on your page. Type or paste the text of your newsletter article, including the paragraph tags, font styles and other HTML code, into the HTML file you created using your HTML or text editor. Put a story title and the author's name for each item in the newsletter on a separate HTML page of the newsletter.
Upload the HTML web pages you created for your newsletter articles to your web server---this 'hosts' the files on your website. If you have a simple and easily accessible content management system, use it copy and paste the HTML you created. For example, third-party systems like Liferay and SiteRefresh allow users to log into a web application, create or update webpages and instantly push the updated content to their websites. Otherwise, upload your HTML files directly to your web server using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) access or whatever other means you use to add files to your website. Make note of the URL, including the 'http,' where you stored your files.
Create an HTML page for your email newsletter itself. Include a table of contents, brief descriptions of each article and links to read more. Associate the links in your email newsletter with the URLs for the articles you hosted on your web server. To create a link, type this HTML code into your email and update it to include your URL and link name:your link nameComply with the requirements of the CAN-SPAM (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing) Act by including your mailing address and an opt-out link in your email newsletter. The Federal Trade Commission created the CAN-SPAM Act in 2003 to combat consumer spam, so all email senders must comply with its requirements as a matter of federal law.
Combine your HTML email newsletter with a plain-text version of the same message and send it in MIME format to your subscribers. MIME stands for Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME). Email marketers should send messages in MIME format because not all subscribers can receive HTML emails, and some spam blockers award higher spam scores to HTML messages that do not include a plain-text version.Use a third-party service to bundle and send the HTML and text versions of your newsletter to subscribers, or consult your web developer for assistance creating a script on your web server to send MIME messages. A script is a program that performs an intended action; in this case, the script would send your HTML and text messages to your list of subscribers. Test your message before you send it to your subscribers to ensure that the links to your hosted articles function properly.

Hosting Sites That Offer Streaming Video CapabilitiesIn Feburary 2016 08,

In Feburary 2016 08,
The Host Gator Web-hosting company offers third-party, iframe/object-embed streaming on all its shared, dedicated and VPS servers. However, only the much-more expensive dedicated and VPS servers allow developers to stream live content, such as from a news feed or business conference. Prices for these servers range between $250 to $400. In addition, its shared servers do not support the streaming of any Flash content.
Go Daddy
Go Daddy's shared servers lack support for streaming live video, but they do support the embedding of video files from other sources, such as YouTube or VEOH. Its dedicated servers support all video content, and its servers are much less expensive than those from Host Gator. Keep in mind, however, that the servers include weaker processors, less RAM and a cap on bandwidth.
Cirtex Hosting
Dubbed a genuine video hosting service, Cirtex Hosting offers unlimited video streaming for a minimum of $2.49 per month. In fact, the company claims that one could potentially host a site just like YouTube on its servers. The only limit would be the bandwidth, which starts at 10 Mbps with shared servers and rises to 100 Mbps with dedicated servers.
Host Monster
Host Monster supports streaming video content that is either stored on one of its servers or streamed from a third-party website. The benefit of streaming from another site is that it won't tap into the server's bandwidth. Though the site claims to offer unlimited bandwidth, its up-time is not as high as that of Host Gator, Go Daddy and Cirtex.

How to Make a Online Inventory SystemIn Feburary 2016 03,

In Feburary 2016 03,
Make sure you have a domain name set up for your business. Your domain name is the address that people will type into their browser to reach your inventory system. (Yourinventorysystem.com) domain registrars can charge between $1 and $14 per year.
Obtain web hosting for your online inventory system. Online web hosts are responsible for providing the memory and web-space for the content and traffic for your website. Web host can charge anywhere from three dollars and up per month. If you already have a website for your business, then you already have web hosting.
Determine if you like to use inventory software that has already been created or if you need to hire a programmer to integrate your inventory system into your website. Use sites like Getafreelancer.com and Elance.com to locate freelance computer programmers to make a custom inventory system for your site. Based on your budget, programmers from around the world will be on your project.
Purchase online inventory software to integrate with your website. For example visual inventory is a software that does not require you to create a website as it will automatically integrate to your web or network server. You will be able to input the type of products you have and customize the software to maintain inventory for either multiple owners, departments, locations, etc. Pricing for various inventory software can be free or you can pay over $5000. Purchasing inventory software is an alternative to hiring a computer programmer.
Make sure you and other colleagues test out the inventory system before going live. Test out the software for glitches and other issues that may need to troubleshoot. You may need to conduct a training session who will be accessing your inventory system to ensure they know what they are doing.
